Tag: Africa

Africa is a continent on the Earth’s northern and southern hemispheres. It is the second-largest continent on Earth and consists of 54 member states of the United Nations and 2 states with limited or no international recognition.

Africa is also the home of the earliest technological achievements on record, from the first stone tools to tool production. However, due to systemic oppression via colonialism and centuries of racism and enslavement, Africa’s contribution to the scientific world outside the continent has been significantly overshadowed by its (former) colonies.
