Many STEM academic faculties ignore social justice as a fundamental part of study and practice and with a lack of Black researchers within those faculties, it can often mean biased studies and harmful results. A focus on social justice improves those studies and reduces harm (at least in theory). The articles on this tag page demonstrate how this can be done and some of the challenges faced by STEM academics.
