RetroBytes tried their hand at creating a dial-up modem and ISP like it’s the 90s. The video also looked at dial-up’s history including that iconic start up sound.
One thing I found interesting while researching this is that dial-up internet is still a reality for 1.9% of US households with internet access (according to a Statista study from 2019).
