The Espírito Santo blind snake is a species of snake endemic to Brazil. Its common name comes from one of the states it lives in (Espírito Santo in southeastern Brazil) but it can also be found in Bahia, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro).

In terms of appearance, the Espírito Santo blind snake is mainly dark brown with lighter brown pigmentation on its belly. Like most other snake species, it is also oviparous.
