I wrote about HyperCard a while ago and it was a fascinating piece of technology. Well, now there is a spiritual and digital successor in Decker.
Decker is a platform for creating and sharing interactive documents, with sound, images, hypertext, and scripted behavior.
It uses a scripting language called Lil and offers a variety of multimedia creativity.
I know a lot of tech nowadays is about making that Everything App (looking at you, Musky Boy) and that always feels like a fool’s errand. But while Decker offers a lot of different things, it isn’t in that same mould and wasn’t built for that purpose.
Try Decker in your browser and let us know what you think!
