Sorting algorithms on... Minecraft?

I never thought I’d get into Minecraft but children really do be changing lives. My son’s love of the game meant I’ve enjoyed it with him and playing alone (although I mainly use it to build modernist and brutalist houses I could never afford in real life). I’ve also discovered unconventional uses for the Microsoft-owned game including writing sorting algorithms, as the above video demonstrates.

In it, mattbatwings shows how you can use redstone from the game to generate sorting algorithms, from bubble sorts to counting sorts.
