I regret not paying more attention in my Statistics class as there’s a need for it in my wider work. Jeffrey Rosenthal, a professor of statistics at the University of Toronto, answered some Twitter questions in WIRED’s signature segment including the classic “every event is 50/50” fallacy, why exit polls are often so wrong, and what is the worst casino game in terms of player odds.
