Hannah Fry wrote about data visualisation and how it changed the world, in a quiet but important way.

From the misinterpretation of data at an emergency NASA teleconference regarding the space shuttle Challenger to possibly the first example of data viz by Dutch cartographer Michael Florent van Langren, graphs, charts, and plots have helped us understand the seemingly inexplicable.
