Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes in and relating to living organisms. As the name suggests, it’s a combination of the studies of biology and chemistry and explores everything from DNA replication to how our bodies metabolise food.

Biochemistry can help us understand our bodies’ reactions to both natural and synthetic biological products and aid scientists in developing effective and safe medicines.
