I had no idea you could create heat from wind and magnets but here we are with a Way Out West video showing us how to do it. In the video, Tim from Way Out West built an induction heater using magnets with alternating polarity and a giant wheel spun by a drill press to create enough magnetic energy to boil some water in a minute and a half.
It’s only a proof of concept but on the surface—to me at least—this is a remarkable feat and not out of reach for anyone with the means to buy some neodymium magnets, a bit of wood, and some copper piping. I’m sure you can find them at the back of the sofa or ask your dad.
