In 2009, the Turkish government banned access to all pages hosted on Google Sites because one of the sites allegedly insulted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey? Ahmet Yıldırım, a Turkish man from Istanbul, took them to court in 2012 and the European Court of Human Rights ruled in his favour, stating that the blockage was a breach of Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
